We offer a free assessment at our indoor training centre in Fairfield which gives you and your dog the opportunity to meet us, and us to meet you. As part of your visit, we will discuss any specific problems or wishes you may have in regards to your training. We will then be able to devise your very own personalised training program, which specifically caters to the needs of you and your dog.
Your free Victorian Dog Training Academy assessment will run for approximately ½ an hour and during that session we will closely examine your relationship with your dog and how it responds to given commands. We also use this time to access which method of training best suits you and your dog and to see what level your dog is at. We will also assess your child's/children's suitability to attend training.
During this assessment you will be asked to perform some simple tasks and your dog will be exposed to other trained dogs, this will enable us to examine your dog's response.
Whilst the assessment is free of charge and obligation we do however charge a $50 booking fee, which needs to be paid in order to secure your appointment.
This fee is refundable at your assessment providing you fulfil the following simple steps;
- You turn up to your assessment on time, on the day & time booked
- You bring your dogs current vaccination certificate
- You wear enclosed, flat soled shoes
- You walk your dog/s in on lead
- If you need to cancel or change your appointment, you give us a minimum of 48 hours notice
If you fail to follow these instructions, this will result in the forfeiture of your booking fee.
After your assessment, your booking fee will become a $50 discount off your joining fee, or a full refund if you decide not to join!
Assessments can be booked for times during business hours (9am- 5pm) Tuesday to Friday, or Friday evenings (6pm-9pm) Please be aware that we are located in a busy industrial area & parking can be difficult during the day. Make sure you allow plenty of time to find a car park, so you arrive at your assessment on time. Bookings will not be secure until your booking fee has been received. Booking fees can be paid via credit card or EFT.
Please note: As part of the local council requirements, all attending lessons must supply us with proof of the dogs current vaccination status and training cannot commence until we have sighted a current certificate.
