Hi Glenn and Jodie - just wanted to say thanks so much for all the hard work you have put in to training us BOTH!! I appreciate your patience, understanding and kindness to us both and all the wonderful advice and extra time you have freely given.  I didn’t want to say all this today as I knew I would get teary and there is nothing worse than a weepy dog owner!!! I am so proud of what we have achieved - I really never thought we would get to the stage that we have when I first came to you.  It is such a thrill to take Milli into the local shopping centre and know that when we walk down a busy street she is walking calmly beside me and not lunging and barking at other dogs or people - we do this more often now because it is so easy!!! I have learnt also to treat Milli like a dog and not a substitute child!! This has been the hardest lesson as she is so special to me. Milli is much happier and more relaxed at home and when we are out. Anyway enough waffle - thanks again for everything and look forward to learning more.

Also,  just wanted to let you know that yesterday I called in to a shop in Keilor where I have been going since Milli was a tiny puppy to get supplies and the owner was amazed in the difference in Milli - she said " Milli seems so much happier and relaxed !" She hasn’t seen her for probably about 2 months - Milli used to be afraid to go in there and certainly wouldn't go up to people and say hello - yesterday she went in wagging her tail and willingly, even though slowly, went up to people and said hello !!!! She even allowed one girl to scratch her around the ears and sat there really enjoying it!!!!!!!!How good is that!  Just had to let you know and thank you both again for all your help - I can’t tell you what a difference it has made to both of us. I was so proud of Milli I bought her a raincoat - pink of course!!!!!!

Rarely these days do you receive excellent service, value for money and on going common sense support.  This is exactly what I found with Glenn and Jodie at the Victorian Dog Training Academy.  Not only did they help me with my barking dog problem, but they gave me the skills and confidence to deal with my dog by myself.  I received on going support and they gladly answer any questions I have whenever I drop in.

I'm happy, my dog's happy and healthier than ever. Glenn and Jodie have an amazing understanding of dogs (and their owners). They have put me onto a better dog food which did everything they said it would.

I cannot recommend the Victorian Dog Training Academy and The Dog Shop enough, they have no competitors when it comes to PRICE, SERVICE, RESULTS and PASSION.

Dear Glenn & Jodie,

We came to see you to help us with our beautiful dog Titch.  Titch is a sweet, good natured dog but when he approached other dogs on our walks, he would get aggressive, by barking and try to lunge at the dogs.

As you can imagine this made walking a real chore, not something we could enjoy with him.  Even a simple trip to the vet lead to major problems as barking and lunging was a regular occurrence in the waiting room.   We had tried another trainer who had told us that Titch's behaviour would be something we would always have to deal with.

Thankfully another client of yours referred us to you on one of those "nightmare" trips to the vet, and we saw that there was a solution to our problem.   Once we had been to just one training session with you we saw an amazing improvement with Titch.  He was calmer and dogs could approach without too much negative behaviour.  His aggression, you told us, was caused by his anxiety at being unable to know how to approach another dog, perhaps because he may have been removed from the litter early.  As we got Titch from Save A Dog we are not sure of his background so we were unable to pinpoint the cause of the problems. Our little girl dog Emi also came along to training. You found she was actually the instigator of Titch's behaviour as she was so excited to see other dogs that he would get anxious and this would lead to his aggression.  In turn Emi had begun to get aggressive towards other dogs.   At the end of our training we have seen an amazing improvement in our 2 dogs.  They are calmer, happier and in turn we feel so much better.  The thought of walking the dogs no longer fills us with dread and we look forward to continuing our training at home.

You have given us some practical advice and taught us the error of our ways.  "We are now the leaders of the pack" and are confident that we can continue to put into action the training you have given us.   Thank you for all your help - it has been such a rewarding experience and if the dogs could talk we're sure they would thank you too!   We wish you all the best for the future.
